About this camp

Pali Adventures Aviation Camp offers a hands-on, overnight experience where campers delve into the world of flight. Participants learn about aerodynamics and aircraft anatomy, gaining an understanding of the physics that keep planes in the air and the function of various aircraft parts. The camp provides practical experience through operating advanced virtual reality flight simulators, allowing campers to practice takeoffs, landings, and maneuvers in diverse conditions. A significant component of the program involves building and launching their own rockets, applying principles of flight beyond Earth's atmosphere. Campers also get to fly quadrotor drones, offering a unique aerial perspective of the camp's surroundings. The program culminates in a real flight experience over the San Bernardino Mountains with a certified pilot-instructor, where campers can actively participate in flying the aircraft based on their skill level. Throughout the week, campers sharpen problem-solving, critical thinking, strategic planning, self-confidence, and independence skills.
