The Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) at UCLA offers gifted, talented, and creative middle and high school students (grades 6-12) a unique opportunity to engage in a STEAM+ curriculum. The program emphasizes applying creative thinking across multiple disciplines to solve real-world problems. Students choose from a wide variety of courses incorporating science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics, humanities, and fitness and recreation. A typical day involves classes from approximately 8:45 AM to 4:00 PM with a lunch break, followed by a recreation period, dinner, and evening study tutorials or workshops for residential students.
