About this camp

DuBois Aviation's Aviation Camp offers an immersive experience for aspiring aviators, combining ground school instruction with hands-on flight training at Chino Airport. Students will learn fundamental aviation principles, including the forces of flight, aircraft control surfaces, radio communications, and airport operations. The curriculum covers essential knowledge like reading aviation charts, understanding aircraft systems, and pre-flight procedures. Each day, campers participate in ground school and then apply their knowledge by flying a real airplane with a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI). They also gain experience and refine their skills in a flight simulator. The camp includes a field trip to an aviation museum at Chino Airport and culminates in a graduation and pizza party. Students will log flight instruction that can be credited towards a pilot's license, and receive a pilot's logbook, a toy airplane, a T-shirt, and GoPro videos of their flights. The program emphasizes a real-world training environment, building confidence in radio communications and complex airspace procedures from day one.
