Camp Invention is the only nationally recognized, non-profit elementary enrichment program that partners with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is inspired by National Inventors Hall of Fame Inductees.
Camp Invention is a nationally acclaimed STEM summer program designed for children entering grades K-6, focusing on fostering creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills through engaging, hands-on activities. Campers participate in four dynamic experiences each year, with the 2026 program, 'Spark,' challenging children to investigate critter crimes using forensic science and robotic capybaras, and to explore entrepreneurship and physics by designing billboard boats. Participants also embark on space exploration missions to terraform new planets with DIY rockets, and learn about intellectual property by creating wearable cryptography devices. Through these project-based challenges, children gain confidence, strengthen critical thinking, and develop persistence. The program is inspired by the world's greatest inventors, inductees of the National Inventors Hall of Fame, providing inspiring role models and a unique learning environment that encourages children to become confident creators and innovators.
Campers begin the day at Base Camp with a warm-up activity, then rotate through two experiences in the morning, followed by lunch and outdoor games. The afternoon includes two more exciting experiences before regrouping at Base Camp for a final problem-solving challenge.
